Work Permits

Canada offers opportunities for temporary workers. Typically, the ability to work on a temporary basis in Canada will require an applicant to have a prospective employer offer him or her a job. Further, the job will have to be 'Confirmed' by Service Canada, or exempt from that Confirmation based on a number of categories that exist (for example, intra-company transferees, and certain professionals). Confirmation is a process whereby the need for an employer to bring a worker to Canada must be justified.

In some cases, Canada offers special programs for temporary workers, including 'low skilled' occupations. Further still, at times, some provinces, in addition to their permanent residence nominee programs, offer programs for needed temporary workers.

Kranc Associates can assist with regard to the processing of such applications, and can also put you in touch with agencies that may assist you in the securing of an employer, if required. Please contact us for further details.
